Do I need experience with clay to take a class?Nope! Our beginner one-day wheel classes and most hand-building classes are designed so that no experience is necessary, you can jump right in!

What should I wear to the studio? The clay we use is completely water-washable. We do provide aprons to cover most clay splatter, however we recommend wearing clothing that you are okay with getting messy for the day. Feel free to bring a change of clothes if you wish to keep your other clothes pristine. Further, we recommend wearing close-toed shoes that can be easily cleaned.

Is there an age limit? Our standard wheel throwing classes are best suited for adults of any age, however exceptions can be made for teens and preteens who are interested. Most of our hand-building classes are open to any age, however some projects may require adult assistance for younger students; contact us if you are wondering about a specific class/project. Kids wheel and hand-build classes are typically reserved for those ages 6 to 13. Younger kids are welcome to join our Sensory experience class, in which babies and toddlers can play with clay without the commitment of creating something fireable.
